I'm a 20 year old college student with a full time job living in a major US city, and I'd say that around 80% of young adults (ages 15- 25) including myself smoke weekly or quite a few times a week. Its incredibly relaxing, and has no side effects (except for maybe clearing out the fridge). Sure it makes you stupid for a hour or two, but thats the point (same with knocking back a few coronas). Its a very socially accepted activity for this generation, and I will be very surprised if pot isn't decriminalized nationally within the next 10 years. Nevertheless, I still think people who throw away every thing they have going for them just to get f-ed up all the time are morons. And I don't think pot made it any worse for them, losers are losers, high or sober. Great article, I loved it.
