I mean Pedroia over Kinsler is ridiculous, as Kinsler's having one of the best seasons out of any player, and then Ichiro and Manny and Big Papi all get voted in, even though Manny's dropped off big time, Ortiz is hurt, and Ichiro definitely was not the best guy for outfield as he hasn't started to hit his stride until now. All of those players were voted in due to the power of Red Sox Nation and Japanese voters. Jeter will also probably always get in no matter what (sure his numbers were good enough for a shortstop in the American League, but Young is having the better year). His value is much more than statistical. Clay Bucholz and Jon Lester's no-hitters should be in the record books as being a combined effort with Varitek. And c'mon, Tulowitzki has battled injuries almost all season. Disappointing? Sure. But there are shortstops who have played twice the amount of games that aren't doing much better. Khalil Greene says "hello" with his .224 average and 7 errors (not bad, but he has comitted only 20 errors in the two seasons previous to this one... meaning he is probably due to have at least two-thirds of that number in this season alone).
