I guess you can say that Hasselhoff is the kind of guy that knows how to laugh at himself, but honestly, I’m not sure he knows how ridiculous he sounds. Here’s he is singing the national anthem at Saturday night’s Las Vegas bowl. His crooning is interspersed with an interview he gave directly after singing the anthem:
What was he saying about Sponge Bob? I’m fairly sure this guy gets hammered enough that he thinks he lives in that underwater pineapple with Bob and that starfish.
It’s good to see that he hasn’t lost the pipes that made him a commercial success in Europe with “Looking for Freedom.” From what I understand, (read: guess / made up) you can’t step foot in the city of Berlin without hearing this song every 10-15 minutes:
I like how in between semi-serious Hasselhoff faces, the video shoots to Nightrider scenes where he runs Kit into different things and makes them explode. When I think freedom, I think car related explosions. Apparently, Germany feels the same way.
