Rory Sabbatini is a Bit of A Douche

Rory Sabbatini has garnered way too much attention in the last year or so.  This guy has four career victories, no majors, a lot of product in his hair, and an outright refusal stay out of the news. 

Most of us are now familiar with Sabatini’s comments about Tiger Woods’ game.  If not, here they are,

"The funny thing is, after watching him play last Sunday, I think he’s more beatable than ever. I think there’s a few fortuitous occasions out there that really changed the round for him at Wachovia. And realizing that gives me even more confidence to go in and play with him on Sunday again."

Those comments came earlier this year at the Wachovia Championship, when Woods beat Sabattini by five strokes in the final round to win the tournament.

You may also remember Rory from his incident with noted “deliberate” player Ben Crane.  Rory played ahead and left his playing partner Crane in the fairway, while he went up to the green and putted out.  Sabbatini was frustrated because the group had been “on the clock” and warned for slow play earlier in the match.  Whether or not Crane was playing slow, Sabbatini still acted like an eight year old girl when he played ahead of his playing partner.  Fast forward to this weekend at the Wachovia, where once again Sabbatini was the story:
 
After Rory made a double on the ninth green, a fan asked Sabbatini whether he still believed that Tiger was beatable.  Without skipping a beat, Rory pointed to the fan and had him removed, like the whinning eight year old girl that he has shown himself to be.  But don’t worry, he explained himself:

“We’re out here to do our job – let us do our job,” Sabbatini said later. “Have a little bit of decorum, a little bit of class out there. I guess a few too many beers were talking.”

Funny that you should talk about class or decorum on a golf course Rory, you were the same person that played ahead of Ben Crane and yelled at him after the round for his slow play. It also goes without saying how big of a bitch move it is to have a fan removed from the course for saying something so benign.  It may have also angered Sabbatini that he was once again beaten by Woods, by five shots, while playing in the final group, at the final round of the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. 

He already gels his hair AND wears a visor.  He already wears really tight shirts. He already makes ridiculously hypocritical and outright asinine comments.  He fits the profile of your run of the mill douche bag to a T.  I think it is only a matter of time before Rory, Wally Sczerbiak, and Jason Kapono corner the market on styling gel, and hold the world ransom with out the ability for anyone to gel their hair, until their demands are met.  At least then the comments towards Tiger Woods and incidents where fans get thrown out of tournaments because Rory is a thin skinned 3rd grader will subside, I hope. Douche.
