This is probably the greatest list in the history of lists. Askmen.com’s Top 99 Women survey does away with the dictator like tactics of the Maxim Hot 100 and lets you vote on the top 99 and decide who you think is the most attractive. Plus, AskMen delves a bit deeper than your average T & A list, here are their noble goals for this list and their instructions to those who vote:
AskMen.com’s Top 99 Most Desirable Women is an annual list compiled by AskMen.com readers and staff, ranking the famous females deemed to be the year’s most alluring. In casting their votes, readers are asked to look beyond sex appeal and beauty to pick women who have the characteristics they value in a potential companion, like intelligence, humor, charisma, and ambition. The result is an annual list that acts as the definitive gauge for identifying what modern men desire most in their female companions.
I do not agree with their #1, (I’d like to see Jessica Alba or Melissa Miller in that spot) but none the less, this list is fantastic.
Let’s take a look at the sporting ladies, or ladies that have a connection to sports, that made the cut:
Number 74: Maria Sharapova:

Number 73: Ana Ivanovic:

Number 65: Michelle Marsh – Wife of soccer player Waining –
(Here is her write up on Askmen.com)
There are two very big all-natural reasons why we love Michelle Marsh, and they both go by the name 32FF. This busty Brit is best known for her work as a Page 3 girl, and has posed topless for The Sun and the Daily Star. While she may have taken herself off the market by marrying footballer Will Haining in June of 2007, that still hasn’t deterred you from voting her as the No. 65 Most Desirable Woman of 2008.

Number 47 – Jessica Simpson – May or may not be dating Tony Romo

Number 46 – Gemma Atkinson – The face (and boobs) of the 2007 Tour de France :

Number 42 – Mrs. Tiger Woods – Elin Nordegren :

BIG STRETCH, because Poker isn’t a sport..BUT – Number 33 – Layla Kayleigh – The new face of the World Poker Tour –

Number 29 – Mrs. Parker – Eva Longoria:

Number 28 – The Future Mrs. Bush – Kim Kardashian

Number 18 – Mrs. Ashley Cole – Cheryl Tweedy

Number 16 – The Future Mrs. Tom Brady – Gisele Bundchen

Marissa Miller at 9??? Come on Askmen, you are better than that.

I don’t like Heigl at number one, but I will accept it because Jessica Alba is in the top 5. Overall , this is phenomenal list and I applaud AskMen for putting it together. I also applaud AskMen for entertaining the notion that any man will actually look “beyond sex appeal and beauty” in their attempts to find the most “desirable” female celeb.
