The Funniest Star Wars / Assault Post You Will Read All Year

The American legal system should take a page from our buddies across the pond. The hilarity of the crime should be taken into account when determining a sentence.  Also, tell me this isn’t the greatest headline in the history of lines and head:

‘Darth Vader’ spared jail in Jedi church attacks

First, does anyone else find it unbelievable that, according to this article, 390,000 British citizens listed Jedi as their religion in the most recent census? Read the last line of the aricle, I didn’t just make that number up.  AND, how about this guy’s alcohol consumption before trying to beat up these nerds?

Hughes claimed he couldn’t remember the incident, having drunk the better part of a 2 1/2-gallon (10-liter) box of wine beforehand.

Outside of the perpetrator’s alcohol consumption, this is the best line in the story:

Unfortunately for Hughes, his March attack was recorded on a video camera that the cousins had set up to film themselves in a light saber battle

Hopefully all of you are now saying, “Damn, I wish I could see that video.” Well wish no more my friends, here is the actual video, courtesy of youtube.  I couldn’t believe it when I saw that someone had actually posted this video:

For those of you who missed it, that was a drunk, garbage bag clad Darth Vader with a crutch, assaulting to fake Jedi’s during a light saber demonstration. If was the man impersonating Darth Vader in this video, I would go into hiding, we all know that nerds can do if they band together for a common cause.

Frightening.
