Brazilians Have Their Priorities Straight

The entire country of Brazil is pissed with this ad. If you can’t read it, the caption says, “Authentically Brasilian.” (I think they forgot the Z) Brazilians in general are disgusted that the makers of this drink, Cabana Cachaca, would associate Brazil with this kind of filth.

But our Portugese speaking neighbors to the south are not angry that a hot naked chick is being associated with their country. Rather they are pissed because Cabana Cachaca is made in New York and has absolutely nothing to do with Brazil at all. This gaffe reminds of the Pace Picante commerical where the group of cowboys is disgusted when one of their cowboy friends eats salsa from “New York City?”

In all honesty, this would be a like a Japanese Mayonniase company taking a picture of a fat American woman and writing the caption, “Authentically American.” Listen pal, it don’t want your Mitsubishi Mayonnaise, give me Helmann’s or give me death.

At least they have their priorities straight down there. If you showed this ad to you average American, mothers would be covering their children’s eyes and pretending that little Johnny doesn’t have 12 gigs of hardcore porn on his computer.
