The Stanley Cups Finals are Over, but Henrik Zetterberg’s Girlfriend is Still Hot

p>Good news for those of you racists out there demoralized from ducking the scorn that comes from hating on people just because of the color of their skin or preconceived stereotypes about them. There’s still a place in the world where racism not only thrives, but where the mere use of it is seen as “expert analysis.”

It’s a place you might have forgotten about…the NHL.

The Detroit Red Wings won their fourth Stanley Cup in 11 years last night, and became the first team to win the Cup with a European team captain. Or should I say, Sidney Crosby gave this one to the photo-snapping, fanny-pack wearing, tourist Red Wings out of the goodness of this red, white, and maple syrup Canadian heart so they could have the full North American experience between stops at Indian casinos on their trip here. Nevermind that while the announcers were constantly stroking him while his team was losing the series, Henrik Zetterberg was showing that he is legitimately the best player in the NHL (6th in the league in regular season points, first in playoff points, Conn Smythe winner, Selke finalist, pretty much erased Crosby as a threat with his defense the whole series, and this girlfriend). The Wing just aren’t tough enough, don’t have the resolve, and won’t do what it takes to win.

Even though they won.

Which you’d never know from listening to Don Cherry talk about how much he loved last year’s Anaheim team, as if it was the day after they beat the Wings in the conference finals. And here’s where you racists can take heart, Cherry actually said this when Barry Melrose mentioned that the first European player was made a captain in 1975. “Well, there’s only been one (to win the Cup) in 33 years, so that should tell you something about them.” “Them” being Europeans, of course. He also said it 3 times for emphasis, kind of like when Fisher Deberry was talking about black players as Air Force’s head coach and a reporter actually gave him the opportunity to retract his statement twice, but he just reiterated. Anyway, he’s a moron and everyone in the NHL is racist. (Zetterberg’s girlfriend below)

FYI…a Canadian team hasn’t won the Stanley Cup for 15 years. So that should tell you something about them..

I just can’t believe there’s still room for racism in today’s sporting world. And anyway, NHL Europeans could be worse…they could be those soft, possibly gay NBA Europeans.
