Sorry to bombard you guys with yet another video today but you have to see Bruce Pearl’s stand-up routine.
Doing some motivational speaking to the Tennessee Valley Authority, Pearl decided to get in some KKK digs which play very well in the South.
For those who don’t want to waste time going through the video, here is the transcript:
“I’ve got a tough job. I’ve got to put these guys from different worlds together, right?” Pearl said. “I’ve got guys from Chicago, Detroit … I’m talking about the ‘hood! And I’ve got guys from Grainger County, where they wear the hood.”
Look, can’t the guy joke a little bit about the racist people of Grainger County when it’s true. Let us clarify – not all of the people are racist. Just the ones who grab the gun from under the seat when a black guy pulls up next to them at a red light. Of course Bruce has issued an apology.
Congrats to Bruce for making headlines in the offseason unlike that pearly white guy at Duke.
