You may remember the big to do about the Tom Gorzelanny bobble head that the Pirates released in April.

Boy that sure does look like ol’ Tom’s middle finger doesn’t it.  It would makes sense that Tom is flicking off the Pirates fans that recieved this bobble head. A big F U would be a fair representation of the sentiment of the Pirates front office towards Pirates fans for the better part of 17 years.

It seems that the the gods of irony have smiled on the hapless Pirates fans and smote Tom Gorzelanny, even though Tom had seemingly nothing to do with the creation of the bobblehead.  Take this Tom. It had to be the middle finger didn’t it? No index, pinkie or ring, oh no, its the middle.  Unfortunately, the middle finger in the bobblehead is on his right hand and the middle finger that will likely keep him out for season is on his left hand. But let’s not let the facts get in the way of a good story, this is irony at its finest.
